It's a common misconception that because our hotel is located deep in St Peter's Valley, we don't get the same soaking of sunshine the rest of the island receives on beautiful summer days. 

The truth is that the hotel sits beneath a little gap in the canopy, allowing sunshine to flood the gardens and pool area from the early morning into the late afternoon, whilst remaining sheltered from the wind. 

These conditions are absolutely perfect for al fresco dining! Here are our three favourite ways to spend a sun-kissed summer afternoon here at Greenhills.

Lunch poolside

Whether you're looking for a light bite during a stroll through the country, or you'd rather spend the afternoon relaxing on a sun lounger, Greenhills is a fantastic choice for lunch.

From 11.30am onwards, our picturesque terrace area welcomes guests looking to indulge in local delicacies and ingredients. From fresh sandwiches on home-baked bread to spectacular seafood platters, our terrace lunch menu offers a fantastic range of dishes for appetites of every size.

Afternoon tea in the country

A leisurely afternoon tea amongst the flowers at Greenhills is an elegant and sophisticated experience. Freshly prepared finger sandwiches are served alongside an assortment of light and luxurious cakes.

Choose from a range of rare and flavoursome teas - or if you'd prefer something a little stronger, we'll happily pop the top off a bottle of Champagne for you.

Our speciality afternoon teas are served Monday to Saturday 2pm - 5pm and Sundays 3pm - 5.30pm. You can view the full menu here.

Aperitifs in the garden

Our favourite way to end a summer's day in Jersey is to pull up a chair in the garden and order a delicious cocktail or aperitif. It's the perfect time to look back at your day, discuss plans for tomorrow, and perhaps have another drink before dinner!
