Channel Islands Heritage Festival 2017
We are delighted by the return of the Channel Islands Heritage Festival this weekend. Running from Saturday 8th April to Wednesday 10th May, the programme features a huge range of inspiring events focusing on the islands’ heroes, myths and legends.
The Greenhills Coutry House Hotel is proud to be part of Jersey's heritage. Our main building dates from 1674, and is a beautiful example of a traditional Jersey granite house, with its distinctive pink stone, deep windows and elegant archways.
If you're taking part in any Heritage Festival events in the west of the island this year, Greenhills offers the perfect historic location for a spot of relaxation and reflection - and something delicious to eat & drink, of course!
The hotel is located just a short distance from the routes of two of the Festival's self-guided heritage trails.
'Heroes, Myths and Legends of the West' is a two-hour tour of the west that will take you from St. Brelade’s Bay, along the west coast and back through the countryside to finish in St. Peter, about half a mile from Greenhills.
'Heroes, Myths and Legends of the South' takes you from Le Dicq Slipway to the east of the town through to St. Aubin’s, up to Noirmont headland and then inland to the German War Tunnels, before heading back into St. Helier. Although only about one hour driving, there are many places to stop and explore en route - including Greenhills, justa five minute drive from the German War Tunnels.
With a well-stocked bar, comfortable lounge, beautiful gardens and stylish dining room, we would love to welcome you to our recently refurbished hotel. You'll be spoilt for choice with our drinks, light bites, afternoon tea, table d'hôte & à la carte menus.
We hope you enjoy the Channel Islands Heritage Festival, and look forward to welcoming you at Greenhills!
