Cocktail of the Month: Bellini
The Bellini was invented by Giuseppe Cipriani, founder of the world famous Harry’s Bar in Venice, somewhere between 1934 and 1948. The peach-based cocktail was first served as a seasonal special, but later became the drink of choice for Harry’s Bar regulars like Ernest Hemingway, Sinclair Lewis and Orson Welles.
The Greenhills Bellini
Our take on this traditional ‘breakfast’ cocktail consists of Archers (peach schnapps) peach purée and Prosecco. The Bellini is an IBA official cocktail and a drink our talented bar team are very experienced at putting together.
The all day cocktail
Although the Bellini, alongside the likes of Bucks Fizz and the Bloody Mary is considered a ‘breakfast’ cocktail, our team can confirm it tastes fantastic at any hour of the day - particularly in the snug surroundings of our quaint country hotel lounge! Sit back, relax and sip away on an Italian classic.
The lounge and bar
Our lounge and bar are open morning, noon and night to the general public, as well as our hotel guests. Set menus and an à la carte service is available for lunch and dinner, along with fantastic selection of light bites, afternoon teas and sharing platters.
Booking is always recommend, especially on weekends when our Country House Hotel is bursting with atmosphere. To treat yourself, call our friendly reservations team on +44 (0) 1534 481 042 or email enquiries@greenhillshotel.com.
