Enjoy the Greenhills as an alternative Battle of Flowers!
For 116 years, Jersey's Battle of Flowers has been the highlight of the island's summer season. Tens of thousands of people, islanders and visitors alike, cram Victoria Avenue to soak up the carnival atmosphere as the flower-covered floats sail past in the festival's main parade.
A rural refuge
As wonderful as the Battle of Flowers is, it's also not everyone's cup of tea. If this is the case for you, then why not enjoy a stunning cream tea - or maybe something a little stronger - in the rural refuge that is the Greenhills Country House Hotel?
If the sun is shining (and it usually does on Battle afternoon), then you'll love relaxing around our pool, surrounded by the lush plants in our gardens. When the birds are singing and the warm summer breeze is passing through, there really are few places in Jersey that offer such an enjoyable escape from the world outside.
Cream teas and cocktails
In the unlikely event that the weather is inclement, then you can head indoors where you'll find a warm welcome in our country lounge and cosy bar. Whether you want to indulge your taste for tea and cream cakes or would perhaps prefer to enjoy a cocktail, our staff will be on hand to ensure you pass a relaxing afternoon far from the crowds lining Victoria Avenue.
An afternoon spent at Greenhills is an afternoon spent recharging, relaxing and enjoying the simpler things in life. There's no need to book, you can just turn up and head to the bar to let them know you're here. Alternatively, you might want to stay for dinner, in which case it's always worth reserving a table in our very popular restaurant.
