May's Cocktail of the Month - The Estate Daiquiri
Famously enjoyed by JFK and Ernest Hemingway, the Daiquiri has grown in popularity since the early 20th century, adding a level of sophistication to the enjoyment of rum.
When it comes to taking the favourite tipple of sailors to a new, more upmarket level, there's no better place to start than this month's Rum of the Month - Appleton Estate's Rare Blend 12 Year Old.
Known as The Estate Daiquiri, this flavoursome cocktail combines the oaken warmth of Rare Blend with the sharp, cooling citrus tastes of fresh lime. Easy to make and a delight to savour, The Estate Daiquiri conjures up the sophistication of 1930s New York, big bands and the American Smooth.
So why not transport yourself to a different era whilst lounging under the sun on the Terrace at Greenhills? Just ask our bar staff, they'll be delighted to mix a Daiquiri that would make Hemingway proud.
