May's Gin of the Month: Aviator
Every month we introduce one of the exceptional gins from our well-stocked bar. This month, we bring you Aviation Gin from the US Pacific Northwest.
So many elements come together to make Aviation Gin a truly unique tipple, it's difficult to know where to start our review.
A distinctive distillation
Firstly, and barely scratching the surface of this distinctive distillation, Aviation was awarded 97 points out of a possible 100 in Wine Enthusiast magazine, putting it among the magazine's highest rated spirits.
Ratings aside, Aviation belongs to an entirely new category of dry gins.
Rich, floral and savoury
Unlike its rivals, juniper doesn't dominate; instead Aviation moves toward a more forward balance of botanicals. It explores the rich, floral and savoury notes of lavender, cardamom, and sarsaparilla to capture the lushness, spice, creativity, and freshness of the Pacific Northwest."
“…The combination of flavors is fantastic — it’s a blend that actually helped define the category of American Gin."
