Three must-try dishes for meat lovers
Jersey is best know for its seafood and potatoes. But the quality of our locally reared meat really shouldn't be overlooked.
Lukasz and his kitchen team source as much local produce as possible, including pork, bacon and sausages from Classic Herd, one of the few remaining independent dairy and livestock farms on the island. Darren and Julia Quénault adopt the highest standard of ethics for the well being of the livestock, ensuring the meat is of the highest quality.
With that in mind, we thought we'd introduce our meat-loving readers and guests to a couple of our most popular dishes.
Duck carpaccio
This is one of Lukasz's signature dishes. Thinly sliced duck breast topped with tangy sweet & sour onions, dark cherries and a healthy glug of truffle oil. It'll light up your palette without filling you up before your main. A perfect starter? We think so.
Available during lunch and dinner service from our à la carte menu.
Surf & turf with a difference
This lovely main combines a melt in your mouth piece of locally-raised pork belly with perfectly cooked calamari, confit potato, compressed pear and a moreish chorizo jam.
Lukasz's take on surf and turf is a little different, but the feedback for this new dish has been nothing but stellar.
Available during lunch and dinner service from our à la carte menu.
Start your Sunday lunch with an antipasto platter
This dish throws tradition straight out of the window. But honestly, can you think of a better start to a summer Sunday lunch than a beautifully presented antipasto platter with a selection of exquisite cured hams & salamis, marinated vegetables, artichokes, olives and a tangy tomato chutney? Nope, we can't either.
It certainly isn't traditional, but it certainly is tasty!
Available during our Sunday lunch service from the table d'hôte Sunday Lunch menu.
