Long Service Loyalty Awards 2022

15 July 2022

Fifteen members of staff with a total of 205 years of service received awards from the Directors of Seymour Hotels at a special reception, held at the Merton Hotel, to recognise their achievements.

The awards lunch marked the 16th year of the Seymour Group employee awards scheme, which the company launched in 2007 to recognise the commitment and loyalty they receive from so many of their employees. The awards are being made to all staff members who have completed 5, 10, 25, 30 and 45 years’ service with the company. Since the awards programme was first launched in 2007, over 4,120 years of long and loyal service have been celebrated.

Claire Reynard, our Group HR Manager, and Lee Cornick, our Entertainment & Leisure Manager for Merton Hotel, celebrate 10 years with the company

The scheme operates across The Seymour Group’s companies, including their three Hotels (Pomme d’Or Hotel, Merton Hotel & Greenhills Country House Hotel), The Watersplash Beach Bar & Diner and their administrative teams.

In addition to the 2 employees celebrating 25 year service awards, a further employee received an award for 30 years’ service and Carlos Ferreira, the Manager of the Harbour Room Restaurant at the Pomme d’Or Hotel, celebrated an outstanding 45 years of loyal service.

Carlos is one of our longest serving employees with an impressive 45 years under his belt

Presenting the awards alongside fellow Director Mrs Rita Seymour, David Seymour, Managing Director of The Seymour Group commented: ‘Our business, like any other service organisation, is built around our staff. Although we value the contribution made by all the 350 staff employed by the Group we are particularly delighted to be honouring these 16 employees today who have shown such dedication to both our organisation and our guests and customers over many years. It gives me and my family huge pleasure to be able to recognise their achievements in this way.’
