Seymour Hotels raise £965 in the Macmillan Rowathon 2017

Seymour Hotels' staff were proud to take part in the Macmillan Rowathon at Les Ormes on Saturday 22nd April. Our staff put together two mixed teams for the gruelling event, and in the process managed to raise £965 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Up to 50 teams take part in this yearly event, which involves teams of six rowers rowing the equivalent distance from Jersey to Sark (30,000m) on an indoor rowing machine

Super Seymour Hotels teams 1 & 2 were made up of staff from across the Seymour Group, including Head Office, Pomme d'Or Hotel, Merton Aquadome and Greenhills Country House Hotel. There was definitely a friendly competitive spirit between the teams, with Seymour 1 coming in just seven minutes ahead of Seymour 2 in a time of 2 hours and 10 minutes.

A great day was had by all and with a little bit of training, who knows - we may get under the 2 hour mark next year!
