Introducing a new menu at the Café Bar

The Café Bar at the Pomme d'Or Hotel has long been a favourite of islanders and a wonderful discovery for visitors. Offering a tasty selection that's designed to carry you through the day from breakfast all the way to dinner, the Café Bar's new menu includes some exciting international tastes.

India to Austria via Greece

Two new vegetarian dishes will appeal to everyone who enjoys discovering the wonderful world of food. Our masoor dhal curry is as hearty as it is deliciously spicy. Combining lentils with tomatoes, chillies and a wonderful mix of spices, this curry comes with basmati rice, naan and mango chutney, is the perfect choice for either lunch or dinner.

As well as the stunning taste of India, our new menu offers a tasty delight inspired by the central European heartland of Austria, but with an added Mediterranean twist.

A slice of our vegetarian strüdel, with its layers of fine pastry stuffed with asparagus, spinach, feta cheese and sundried tomatoes, works well as either a quick bite or the centrepiece of your main meal. You certainly don't have to be vegetarian to enjoy the taste sensation that is our strüdel!

Fishy favourites

Moving back to Britain, our chefs have added a classic British favourite to the Café Bar menu. Fish and chips is loved by both locals and visitors, and they certainly won't be disappointed with our homemade tartare sauce that accompanies the finely battered fillets and crispy hand-cut chips.

On the lighter side, fish lovers will certainly enjoy the poached salmon salad that we've added to this year's menu. Served on a bed of leaves with boiled eggs and a lemon mayonnaise that adds an extra fresh kick, this salad is sure to become a favourite among our guests.

Delicious desserts

Once you've enjoyed sampling our new mains, there's no better way to round off a meal at the Café Bar than with our gorgeously tasty desserts.

You'll find a touch of Jersey in both our Black Butter Crème Brulée and traditional Jersey Dairy ice cream or, if you're looking for something a little less local, you may prefer the sweet sensation of a chocolate salted caramel délice.

Of course, cheese lovers will settle for nothing less than a fine selection of international cheeses carefully selected by our chefs and accompanied by biscuits, grapes and quince jelly!
