Meet our meeting and events manager, Paul Todd

Having spent most of the past three years organising events at the Pomme d'Or, Paul has developed a superb understanding of the wants and needs of our guests.

Originally from Buxton in England, Paul began his career working as an events coordinator at, among other locations, a ski slope and a science museum before moving to Jersey to take up his role at the Pomme d'Or. Since his arrival, Paul has both fallen in love with the island and played a key role in the development of our meetings and events department.

Ensuring every event is perfect

Today, as Meetings and Events Manager, Paul leads the team that makes sure every event we host runs smoothly and goes perfectly to plan. Whether it's a white wedding or a small but vital business meeting, Paul understands that each event is of enormous importance to our clients.

As one of Jersey's leading hotels, we host a lot of special occasions at the Pomme, so the Meetings and Events team is always busy and often supervises three or four event on the same day, making sure that Paul and his team are never short of something to do!

"It can be very busy at times but I wouldn't want it any other way," says Paul. "The Pomme is one of St Helier's top hotels and hosts some of the island's most prestigious events, which is the way we want to keep it.

"My team and I work closely with our clients to make sure every event is a great success and that people continue to choose the Pomme as the venue for the most important days in their business and personal lives."

When he's not working with his team and our clients, Paul loves spending his time at St Brelade's and Ouaisné, either enjoying the gorgeous golden beaches or clambering over the headland at Portelet where he can take in the stunning views of the cliffs and shore.
