We're proud of our dedicated team who strive to offer the best service at all times, ensuring our guests have an enjoyable and memorable stay. Throughout the year we will be introducing you to our fantastic team (I am sure there will be some very familiar faces to any of those that know the hotel well!) First up, we would like to introduce you to Luis de Oliveira, The Pomme d'Or Hotel's general manager:

Luis de Oliveira: General Manager

Luis has been Hotel Manager at the Pomme d'Or since 2002, providing a continuity and quality that ensures our guests experience the very best in comfort and service. 

Born in Mozambique, Luis was raised and educated in South Africa. Having achieved his Hotel Management Diploma, he worked in some of South Africa's most beautiful resorts, and for Marriott Hotels in Florida, USA. But it was at the Pomme d'Or, one of Jersey’s most iconic landmarks, where he found his home. Luis enjoys working closely with his team, whose mixture of long service, loyalty and enthusiasm are testimony to the rewarding working environment he creates.

His passion is rugby, and you'll find him watching Jersey RFC play at weekends. He enjoys the variety of Jersey life - restaurants, marinas, beaches, heritage sites - but it's the friendly locals that make it so special.
