Super League Triathlon returns to Jersey!
28 -30 September, St Helier
Last year the island played host to its first incredibly fast, frenetic and frankly awe-inspiring Super League Triathlon event. The best triathletes in the world battled it out on the streets and shores of St Helier, putting on a fantastic display of endurance and entertaining thousands of spectators.
The good news is that the Super League Triathlon is back, and here at the Pomme we’re perfectly positioned to soak up all the energy from Jersey’s biggest sporting event of the year.
Both Brownlees are back
Britain’s Olympic hero triathlon brothers, Jonny and Alistair Brownlee, are both scheduled to take part next weekend. Last year Alistair was out injured, but his brother Jonny finished second behind eventual winner Kristian Blummenfelt. This year, with the passionate crowd behind them, the Brownlee brothers will both be aiming for podium finishes when racing ends on Sunday.
GB women well represented
Five of Britain’s best female triathletes will also be making the trip to Jersey to battle it out against 29 of the world’s best. Amongst them are two-time Commonwealth Gold medalist Jodie Stimpson and Team GB’s first ever female Olympic medalist, Vicky Holland.
Perfectly positioned Pomme
The Pomme is just minutes away from the competition arena. It's a great place to enjoy lunch and a drink before heading across the road to watch the afternoon's action. The Café Bar is perfect for a quick bite on both the Saturday and Sunday. If you prefer something heartier, than a visit to the triathlon would be the perfect way to burn off a delicious Sunday carvery enjoyed in the Harbour Room restaurant.
If you'd like to enjoy a meal before visiting the triathlon, please head into the Café Bar at anytime, or you can reserve a table for the carvery by calling +44 (0) 1534 880110.
