The Pomme d'Or is perfect for rugby fans

It's for good reason that the mere mention of 'Jersey Reds' fills islanders with pride. The island's rugby team is rare among other Jersey-based sports clubs in that it regularly competes in and wins at national league level.

Jersey Reds are entering their sixth successive season in Rugby Union's second tier and are hoping to continue their role as a settled member of the National One competition - although some fans dare to dream of promotion!

An element of revenge!

Outside of the league, on Friday 13th October, the Reds play Yorkshire Carnegie in the British and Irish Cup. It's a match that's sure to be passionate, as memories of Yorkshire dumping Jersey out of the same competition by a one point margin in the 2014/15 season are still raw.

A warm welcome

Although passionate, Jersey fans are known for the incredible welcome they give visiting fans, who they know have made an huge effort to watch the match. Visiting Yorkshire supporters may have to plan their journey meticulously, but it will all be worth it once they've tasted the atmosphere at Jersey's home ground.

Fortunately for Yorkshire fans, there are flights six days a week from Doncaster Sheffield airport, with flights out on Thursday 12th & Friday 13th, as well as returns on Saturday 14th & Monday 16th.
